Bonus or no bonus, that’s the real slot question
Most of online slot players simply love to take bonuses. Many are so love-blind with bonuses that they will take whatever is available at the casino and won’t even read about the terms. The trend is increasing as today modern casinos like the Rival-Gaming network or Top Game are opting for massive promotions rather than the skimpy bonuses of older networks like Microgaming or RTG. The more bonuses a player consumes that more money he or she will have, no doubt. But have you considered the possibility that bonuses simply restrict your chances of actually making a profit?
If you are on a budget then receiving bonuses seems like a good idea. There’s nothing worse than seeing your hard-earned money going slowly but steadily down spin after spin. If you have a bonus that gives you at least half your deposit in bonus money, it is not as painful to see every wager being lost at the beginning (your rationale being that it’s only the bonus money and you still have your deposit to come back). But there is a big difference in just taking a bonus to make your play-time longer and taking a bonus that won’t ever let you to cash out.
Read, review and understand the terms of any bonus you plan to use for slot machines. There are things like playthrough requirements or maximum cash out limits that will restrict you from cashing out or limit the amount of your winnings. Go after the ones that have the minimum requirements even if they are not so high. A 20% bonus will be good if it has only a low wagering requirement. You get a big more for your deposit and if you hit big, it’s yours to keep. Take it out, go pay off your credit card debt or get yourself a new pair of jeans, but don’t keep playing it or it will go back into the casino.
The immortal question to be or not to be is relevant to our slot business. Only it’s not about being but rather ‘bonusing’, that makes all the difference.
