Being a Successful Caribbean Stud Poker Player
Caribbean Stud Poker is one of the most popular online casino games besides from online slots. Players can enjoy this game for free from the comfort of their own computer. This table game is based on another popular card game called five-card stud poker. Both games share many similarities including the appealing nature of the simplicity and tremendous payout. In Caribbean Stud Poker players are dealt five initial cards with no draws. These five cards cards are all to be dealt at once and are required to remain face-down. Players are only able to see their own cards and at no point will they be allowed to view the rest of the players’ cards. The dealer will be showing only one card face-up.
Another similarity to five-card stud poker, is that players need to beat the dealer’s five-card poker hand with the regular poker hand rankings. To win at Caribbean Stud Poker players need to beat the dealers’ hand. Like in a regular game of poker, each player that joins the game has to place an ante bet before receiving their cards. If they feel as though they have a good enough hand to beat the dealer, then the player can opt to call the bet hence doubling the ante bet. Otherwise the player can choose to fold and forfeit the ante.
When the totality of players have made their minds to either call or fold, the dealer will then show their other four cards and set their poker hand. If the dealer is present in the hand, they must have at least an Ace and a King (the next highest hand being a pair of deuces). The players that called will then compare cards, left to right, to the remaining players’ cards. The player that has the hand that beat the dealer’s qualifying hand will ultimately win the Caribbean Stud Poker game.
