The status quo of the online casino gaming business is that of offering constant bonuses or incentives for players to deposit. Unlike land-based casinos that simply allow you to put in your money in exchange of free drinks, the online casinos offer cash upfront for players to receive more money with their deposit. This is by no means strange and 99% of the online casinos today (out of possible a thousand), yet there are some online casinos that try to take advantage of this.
Here are some online casino bonus scams that you want to avoid:
1) Casino bonuses with impossible wagering playthrough requirements. All bonuses have some sort of playthrough requirement, which makes you risk or wager your deposit and bonus a number of times before you can actually cash out. However, some casinos go to extremes and may ask you to wager your deposit and bonus an unbelievable number of times that makes winning impossible. As a guide a 100% bonus can be reasonably asked to be wagered between 10 times and 25 times. Use that as a guide when you see percentage bonuses.
2) Maximum cash out limit. Online casinos reverse the right to limit that total amount you can cash out if you win. The bonuses may have a set max cash out limit, often being a number to be multiplied by the amount of the bonus you receive. While some bonuses are reasonably limited by this, because they are around 500% or more, other bonuses, usually inferior to 100% should not have max cash out limit. Within reason, a max cash out limit should let you cash out at least 20 times your deposit when the case is with a high bonus.
These are important things to have in mind when you go out to look for bonuses. Don’t let yourself be scammed, ripped off or tricked by illegitimate online casinos.
